It is a well known fact that breakfast is the most important meal, and there are many reasons for this. Breakfast should activate us, wake us up and give us enough energy for the day ahead. It should meet our nutritional and energy needs in terms of micro and macronutrients. For breakfast to be balanced, it must contain carbohydrates, protein, healthy fats, fiber, vitamins and minerals. All these characteristics are met by granola, crunchy baked muesli that is quickly and easily made.
Fun&fit Granolas are my choice almost every morning. Making according to a special recipe, which gives them a refined crunch in 4 flavours, so for each new day you have a different choice. Granolas are nutritionally balanced, contain fiber, fats, proteins, complex carbohydrates, minerals and phytonutrients, and the calorific value of the recommended serving of 60g is about 290kcal.
It is especially important to me that there is no added sugar in my granola, and Granola BERRIES & CHERRIES and NUTS are sweetened with natural date juice, while PEANUT BUTTER and CHOCO & SOUR CHERRY also contain maltitol sweetened chocolate in addition to dates. In addition, it is important to point out that Fun&Fit Granolas are vegan products that do not contain any ingredients of animal origin, so this specialty, made from whole grains, is an ideal choice for eating during fasting.
New granolas have more taste, so everyone will be pleased, both lovers of nuts who do not like sweet taste in the morning, and gourmets for whom the ideal choice is Granola with lyophilized fruits.
The main ingredient in granola is oat flakes, this time caramel-baked with date syrup.
Now that I have revealed my favorite breakfast, it’s time to reveal the health benefits of granola, and believe me, there are many:
- A breakfast which is prepared quickly and does not belong to “junk food” but to a nutritionally balanced meal.
- It’s easy for take-away, ideal for travel, post-workout meal, hiking, or office.
- It gives a feeling of satiety! It is rich in protein and fiber. Proteins from granola affect satiety hormones. Fiber from oat flakes and dried fruit slows bowel movements and prolongs digestion, so we feel full for a longer time, which helps regulate our body weight.
- Reduces cholesterol levels. Oats are a good source of beta-glucan, which reduces total LDL cholesterol, and healthy fats from nuts raise the level of good HDL-cholesterol.
- Reduces blood pressure. Oats are rich in aventranides, and according to the latest research, these antioxidants reduce blood pressure.
- Improves immunity. Vegetable fibers also serve as food for beneficial bacteria in the intestine, which results in an improvement in the balance of intestinal flora, and therefore positively affects immunity.
- Date syrup is a natural and healthy alternative for sugar. It contains calcium, potassium, iron and magnesium. It has a beneficial effect with: anemia, constipation, cardiovascular diseases.
My favorite and a choice for today’s breakfast is BERRIES & CHERIES Granola, and for you to find your favorite, I warmly recommend that you try them all. 😊
